Designer Vikram Phadnis celebrated 35 years in the fashion and film industry with a grand showcase at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, bringing together some of Bollywood's biggest names for an evening that honoured his creative journey. The milestone event also served as the unveiling of his latest couture collection, Ananta.
Inspired by the elegance of Vintage India, Ananta featured rich textiles, intricate embroidery, delicate floral motifs, and a palette of gold, maroon, ivory, and other muted tones. The collection reflected Phadnis' signature approach to Indian couture, balancing heritage craftsmanship with contemporary silhouettes.
The evening reached its high point as Salman Khan took to the runway as the showstopper, dressed in a classic black kurta-pyjama layered with an intricately embroidered silk sherwani. His appearance was met with enthusiastic applause, adding to the celebratory atmosphere of the event.
The front row was equally impressive, with attendees including Sushmita Sen, Sonakshi Sinha, Jaya Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Suhana Khan, and Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, making it one of Mumbai's most star-studded fashion gatherings.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the hotel's grand staircase, which was transformed into a multi-level runway, the evening celebrated not only Vikram Phadnis' legacy but also the enduring appeal of Indian couture through an event that brought together fashion, cinema, and craftsmanship.
